| Floor Techniques Crew wins Best Grooving Award in Asia Finals |

After winning the Singapore Finals a month ago, Floor Techniques Crew took on a brand new and bigger challenge- competing against the best student dancer teams from all over Asia-Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Japan in Tokyo, Japan.
The Asia Finals was held in Shibuya O-East, one of the trendiest spots in downtown Tokyo. Close to 300 people attended the by-invite only event, which also comprised of several media including NHK TV, and Japan's popular dance show Super Chample.

| Each team brought their best performances on stage, wowing the crowd with their dance moves and sheer enthusiasm on stage. Eventually, Japan's KoRock put on a stirring performance that convinced the judges to crown them Asia's number 1 student dancer group. They walked away with the grand prize, the Greatest GATSBY Award which would see them go on a dance exchange tour to 2 countries in Asia as well as an estimated $4,000 in prize money. |

Bloos Dynamite of Hong Kong claimed the GATSBY Award, finishing second to KoRock. Our Singapore representative, Floor Techniques Crew, won the Best Grooving Award, because of their style and substance on stage. On top of GATSBY products, each of the members won a limited edition NIKE sneaker each.
Despite not winning the top prize, Floor Techniques Crew certainly did us proud with their performance on stage, which drew several oohs and ahhs from the crowd with their daredevil b-boy power moves. More importantly, this trip gave them an excellent opportunity to experience dance culture of other countries, and to pick up important experience for their future dance competitions and performances. This is the very first dance contest in Asia organized by GATSBY and Floor Techniques Crew are already looking forward to defending their title as Singapore's no.1 student dancer group! |
